Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
Put flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl and mix them together
Cover the meat in the beef stew with the flour mix
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat
To get all sides of the beef brown, brown it in groups
Put the beef that has been browned in the slow cooker
Set the slow cooker on low and add the potatoes, onions, garlic, and carrots
Put tomato paste and beef broth in a small bowl and mix them together
Pour it over the slow-cooked beef and vegetables
Put in dried thyme and bay leaves
There should be no leaks
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is soft
Add frozen peas in the last 30 minutes of cooking
Before you serve, take out the bay leaves and sprinkle chopped parsley on top
