Bobby's Bourbon Maple-Glazed Doughnuts

These Doughnuts with a Bourbon Maple Glaze are a delicious brunch dish. Their distinctive flavor goes well with a cup of coffee because of the marriage of bourbon and maple syrup. They have a crispy exterior, a fluffy interior, and an unstoppable appeal.

  • , vegetable oil
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg

In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, bourbon, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/2-inch thickness

Use a doughnut cutter or a round cookie cutter to cut out doughnuts

Use a smaller cutter for the center holes

Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C

Carefully add the doughnuts to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side

Remove the doughnuts using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil

For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, bourbon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth

Dip each doughnut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off, and place them on a wire rack to set

Serve your Bourbon Maple-Glazed Doughnuts warm and enjoy!
