I am pleased to announce that some changes have taken place over at Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra), which we hope our readers will find of benefit and of added interest.
We have first changed the website address to http://iraq-solidarity.blogspot.co.uk and have included some new features, which makes our coverage more interactive and inclusive, to those who are involved with Iraqi affairs, or the many issues which have arisen since the invasion.
There are also more ways that our readers can get involved, with regular news updates being provided on both our Facebook page and Twitter site, along with more tailored information being provided by categorised subjects over on our new Pinterest page.
The purpose of Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra) is to promote discussion and involvement. Readers can now exchange their opinions by applying to join our discussion group on Facebook, or by commenting directly to the website, which will then appear in our Readers Write section.
People can also read what is interesting others, as listed in Popular Posts or they can choose to have our articles delivered direct to their e-mail accounts, through our Feedburner subscription. We also welcome tweets of news updates and photographs of activities that readers are involved with, which can now be done direct from Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra).
We are also pleased that in the spirit of co-operation, we are developing our relationships with other publications and campaigns, such as the Safe World for Women and the London Progressive Journal, along with still providing support to researchers, campaigners and outside journalists.
As 2013 marks the tenth anniversary since the initial invasion of Iraq, millions of people around the world know that the trauma and instability hasn’t gone away. Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra) is here to help provide a voice, to what has and still is taking place, and we welcome your involvement.
