Support Our Services

Come along to Support Our Services, a family friendly day dedicated to showing support to all British ex-service men & women, in overcoming the many disabilities which can effect them as a result of their services career.

Support Our Services is being organised by supporters of Combat Stress and will be held in the south of Manchester. Combat Stress delivers dedicated treatment and support to British ex-Service men and women who are living with conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The support provided by Combat Stress is given by fully trained and experienced staff and is carried out in the Veterans home or in one of the three treatment centres, which are run by the charity itself. All services provided by Combat Stress are free of charge to the Veteran and their family, with much of the costs incurred by the charity being covered by donations from the public.

Another charity that will be present on the day, will also be St Dunstan’s, who for almost a century have been giving invaluable physical and emotional support to blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women. With the help of the unique expertise of this charity, St Dunstan’s enable people to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

At Support Our Services, there will be stalls with cakes, leaflets, T-shirts, posters, badges and other items for purchase, with all proceeds raised going to advance the work of those who are at the forefront of assisting these men and women. Everybody is welcome to attend and for those who wish to bring their children along, there is also an outdoor sports pitch, where various sports games will be put on!
